"Adopt" an Alpaca

"Adopting" an alpaca from Woodland Meadow Farm allows you to love and handle your own alpaca without actually owning it. You will get to experience the fun of spending time with them, and the option of keeping their fiber as well as other benefits. We currently offer two levels of "adoption", Alpaca Lover and Fiber Lover.

Alpaca Lover "Adoption"     

• Signed "Adoption" Certificate

• Copy of Registration (if Registered) to see who their relatives are

• The opportunity to assist with herd health, shearing, halter training, etc.

• Visits with your alpaca (must be scheduled to assure someone will be at the farm to assist you)

• $160/Year donation to offset costs

   

Fiber Lover "Adoption"         

• Signed "Adoption" Certificate

• Copy of Registration (if Registered) to see who their relatives are

• The opportunity to assist with herd health, shearing, halter training, etc.

• Visits with your alpaca (must be scheduled to assure someone will be at the farm to assist you)

• The fleece from the shearing during the year of your adoption

• $265/year donation to offset costs of caring for the alpaca and retaining its fiber

The Details:

"Adoption"  does not give you ownership of the animal

You are welcome to bring friends when you come to visit

The alpaca will stay on the farm at all times

If the alpaca is sold during your "adoption" year you will get to choose another alpaca and your "adoption" year will reset at the time of that "adoption"

"Adoptions" are non-refundable
